The 808 cams are a really good starting point. I’ve heard the China knock offs have become more common though.
Personally I do a similar thing but use a gopro now. Real 4K is earth shattering. If I’m going to take the risk I want to make sure the footage lasts the test of time.

I got creative, made use of a 3D printer. Since it’s a wide angle lense you really only need the center most of the lense exposed not the entire thing.
